The Omaha Municipal Land Bank (OMLB) is requesting proposals for the
development of its 2025 Annual Report. The purpose of this report is to provide an overview of the OMLB’s activities and impact over the past year to stakeholders and community members. Download the Request for Proposals below for more information. 

Questions which have been submitted to OMLB are posted below:

1. What has come up for your organization that would be most important for this Annual Report to elevate and/or highlight?

Answer: Our objectives are informed by our recently adopted strategic plan. This can be found on our What we do page and includes 4 primary goals. 

2. What do you want people to walk away with after reading this annual report? 

Answer: We will want to show storytelling through data gathering and description of outputs and outcomes of OMLB programs and impacts on Omaha residents and communities. The report should be digestible, engaging, and use data-driven materials that reflect the community- and person-centered approach to mission that animates OMLB. In addition to storytelling, tracking and analysis of impacts in a variety of tracks (economic, health, etc.) of OMLB activities is increasingly critical to both direct programming itself, and to deepen the case for additional philanthropic and public support needed.

Examples could include photos and quotes from successful project that has gotten underway this year. The OMLB team will help to identify projects and generate quotes, but we may collaborate with the vendor on which projects to select to tell the best story. Stories should align with the priorities, goals, and values outlined in the strategic plan. 

3. Will OMLB provided basline content, data points for graphs and charts, and a selection of high-res photography that aligns with the content and focus of this annual report? 

Answer: Yes, at its guidance and direction, OMLB will provide data needed for the vendor selected to generate a story to communicate its impact for the year and over the lifetime of the organization. Data points for graphs and charts will be provided. We will provide access to all photography on file. 

4. Is this a printed and digital report or just printed? 

Answer: We just request the selected vendor create digital files. We will source any printing on our own.  

5. How long have previous annual reports been? 

Answer: Our annual reports have ranged in length. 2023’s annual report was 23 pages. Proposals should aim for conciseness, aiming to be digestible, engageing, and easy to read.
