Who we Are
The Omaha Municipal Land Bank (OMLB), a governmental, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, aspires to serve as a community development intermediary for Omaha as its land banking tool that creates pathways for stimulating the local economy by addressing systemic vacancy issues at its core.

Leslie Smith
Executive Director
The Executive Director guides our strategic direction, maintains key partnerships and manages financial affairs.
Andrea Purdy-Steenholdt
Director of Operations
Andrea oversees the daily operations at the Land Bank and coordinates efforts related to organizational procedures and priorities.
Deana Walocha
In-House Counsel
Deana manages all legal proceedings, property acqusitions and dispositions, and tax-foreclosures.
Carisma Jano
Real Estate Manager
Carisma works in coordination with the In-House Counsel to manage the acquisition and disposition of real property at the Land Bank.
Hailey Thiem
Community Affairs Manager
Hailey works in coordination with the Executive Director to manage all community relation efforts.
Adam Sanders
Property Specialist
Adam works closely with our In-House Counsel and Real Estate Manager to manage the maintenance and improvement of real property.
Kione Lowe
Executive Assistant
Kione provides high-level administrative support to the Executive Director and other senior staff.
Meet Our Board
Our Board Members provide a wealth of knowledge in various fields related to real estate and community development. The Board is comprised of seven voting Board Members (one from each City Council District), the Director of the Planning Department and additional non-voting members. All Board Members are appointed by the Mayor. We are grateful to have these talented individuals working on our behalf!
