Frequently Asked Questions

When does the contract run?

Contractors agree to work with the OMLB from April 1, 2026-March 31, 2027. There is the possibility of renewal of the contract for another year.

What’s the work?

High Grass Season: May 1st to Oct. 15th

·         Mow twice a month (May-Sept): One is assigned on the 1st, and the other is assigned on the 15th

·         Remove overgrowth vegetation along fence line

As needed:

·         Snow removal (will be initiated by OMLB’s request)

·         Litter, trash, and debris clean up and haul away

·         General maintenance: holes, broken/open pipes, uneven grade (2” or higher), standing water

·         Light planting (for example, to control erosion)

·         Replace “For sale” signage

In addition to performing the work, vendors will be responsible for reporting their work to OMLB in our digital system, called “Slate”. This includes:

·         Taking and uploading a time-stamped photo of completed work

·         Creating and uploading an invoice for the work

What’s the pay?

Each mowing and each snow removal task pays $36.25

If all twice-monthly mows are completed, each property should pay at least $398.75 from May to October. For example, if a vendor was assigned 10 properties, there would be a minimum of $3,987.50 earning potential for the season before snow or miscellaneous tasks.

Pay for miscellaneous tasks such as debris/litter/branch removal or general maintenance is negotiated on a case-by-case basis. OMLB registered vendors are eligible to bid on these tasks regardless of whether they get an annual mow contract.
